By default, :mod:`sumpy` prefers using SymEngine but falls back to sympy if it detects that SymEngine is not installed. To force the use of a particular backend, set the environment variable `SUMPY_FORCE_SYMBOLIC_BACKEND` to `symengine` or `sympy`.
